Jacquelinn Randolph

Jacquelinn A. Randolph, 78, VMD (Veterinary Medical Doctor) formerly of Madison Avenue, died at noon Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at the Heritage. She was born June 26, 1924, in Dayton to James G. and Ruth (Gaible) Randolph. Surviving are a son, James A. "Jim" Rittenhouse, Lisle, Ill.; and a grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Ms. Randolph retired after 38 years as a veterinarian with the USDA, working in meat and poultry inspection. She later worked in loss prevention at Kohl's. She was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. She attended Concordia Lutheran Church, and was a member of the Gleaner's fraternal organization, Theosophical Society, and Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE).

She attended University of Dayton, graduted from University of Pennsylvania in 1953 with a VMD, and received a bachelor's degree in Art from University of Toledo in 1993.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Gerry Mohr officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m Friday at Memorial Park, Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Hancock County Unit, 110 S.
